80,000 years ago, at the time of the Stone Age, a tribe of Homo Sapiens possessed fire, the object of all covetousness. If they know how to keep it, they don’t know how to create it. One day, the tribe is attacked by a clan of Neanderthals and the fire goes out. Three hunters set out to conquer this flame on which their survival depends.
In this film released in theaters in 1981, Jean-Jacques Annaud, the director of «Au nom de la rose» and recently of «Notre-Dame brûle», resurrects prehistory and returns to the sources of humanity in a unique film... A dizzying time travel.
Come discover or rediscover this film in the museum park at night. The screening begins at night around 8:30 p.m. The film is screened in cinema format (DCP or 35 mm). Sunbeds are available free of charge upon registration. The number of sunbeds being limited, spectators are invited to come with their own sunbeds, chairs… Even on hot days, the nights can be cool in the undergrowth. It is advisable to bring warm clothes, blankets and a flashlight. Many mosquitoes populate the museum park. Bring mosquito repellent. In the event of extreme weather, the screening will be cancelled. Screening organized in partnership with the NFB
