Église Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul
11 rue Beaurepaire 92700 Colombes
- Hauts-de-Seine
- Île-de-France
Built in 1968 to replace the former church promised for demolition, the building of architect Jean Hébrard plays with all the potentialities of concrete for a free and stripped expression. In addition to its plastic qualities, the church offers on nearly 600 m2 a vast composition of coloured glass slabs by the glassmaker Louis-René Petit, carried out by the Loire (Chartres) workshops. There remains from the old church the baptistery, the large crucifix in the choir and a statue of Mary in the chapel of the Virgin.
