«The accordion of Zadkine»
A musical stroll of the workshops in the garden
Concert by the students of the CRR de Paris
In the form of a musical stroll, the pupils of the accordion class of the CRR of Paris propose their vision of the accordion of Ossip Zadkine.
By conceiving links, imagining affinities with the works of the sculptor of Russian origin, they give new sound colours to Johann Sebastian Bach’s keyboard works and interpret modern composers from all parts of Europe: Moritz Moszkowski, Wladislav Zolotarev, Torbjorn Lundquist, Annette Schlünz...
By interpreting works with jazz, popular, classical, but also expressionist and theatrical influences, Jean-Etienne Sotty’s class pays tribute to the modernity and inventiveness of the 20th century, inviting the public to a musical visit in the intimacy of the workshop-museum and a poetic rediscovery of the instrument that Ossip Zadkine himself played.
With the participation of students of the accordion class of Jean-Etienne Sotty.
