The fortieth edition of the European Heritage Days is, in 2023, on the themes «Living Heritage» and «Sports Heritage». In this context, and as the Olympics Paris2024 are being prepared, the Encouragement Society proposes to organize a debate while the dynamics of Sport in France actively contributes, on the one hand, to the growth of increasingly innovative and sustainable services and products, health prevention. On this occasion, academic, industrial and sports representatives and health mutualists will meet their views and reflections on the issues and perspectives of the sport industry and analyze its impacts on the economy, society, health and the environment.
In parallel, in the heart of its historic headquarters, the Hotel de l'Industrie, Société d'Encouragement pour l'Industrie Nationale will present to the general public exhibitions and photos and student works on the link between Industry, Innovation & Sport, where the demands of the highest level rub shoulders with emotion on a daily basis!

Round Table 2 - Sport, industry and health: women and men who excel
The commitment of the women and men of the Sport ecosystem is not only in favor of the development of product, use, material innovation... (sport economy) but also contributes to improve the well-being and health of citizens. The stakes for businesses and social security are significant. Physical activity programs in companies can reduce sick leave by up to 32%. In 2004, a Dutch study estimated savings of 205 euro per employee per year from investments in programmes to promote physical activity in the workplace, both direct (reduced absenteeism), and indirect (improved concentration and productivity). The challenge is therefore to make everyone aware of the benefits of practicing physical activity and sports in a professional environment through surpassing oneself: professional achievement related to physical performance, preservation and improvement of mental and physical health.
