Temporary exhibition "Dourdan and painters, a palette of artists"
Dedicated to the museum’s collections of ancient paintings, whose chronology extends from the 18th to the 20th century, the exhibition presents works by artists – painters, draughtsmen and architects – linked to the city of Dourdan. If some are native or resident, others have sketched it and leave us a vivid testimony of interest. The works exhibited are not limited to the views of the city but interest all of their paths, influences, artistic currents to which they are attached. Landscapes, architectural views and portraits reveal the talent of painters, designers and architects linked to Dourdan. Artists such as Louis Signy, Sophie Gareau Demetz, Marie-Gabrielle Capet Demetz, Aline Boulian, Emmanuel Zamor, Pierre Gandon, Jean Vernholes, Henri-Gabriel Gautruche, Robert Chailloux are honoured.
