Visit of the archaeological site of Orville
Besieged and destroyed during the Hundred Years War, the old castle of Orville has been excavated every summer since 2001. This research allowed to reconstruct the probable configuration of the castle and to discover an important collection of objects such as a metal weather vane or the chain of the drawbridge. This site allows to discover the work of archaeologists, the remains of the headquarters but also the daily activities of the peasants of the Country of France at the beginning of the Middle Ages via reconstructions.
Departures of regular visits all afternoon. A treasure hunt through the site for children 4-8 years and 8 years and +, all year long afternoon with prizes to win will also be present.
