Following the discovery of the built structures, the association established a program of restoration and enhancement of the site, in connection with the chief architect of the Historic Monuments and the municipality. This restoration, entrusted to the initiative of the association, continues regularly from year to year, through internships and international stone-cutting projects, to give the castle the legibility it deserves and to make the entire site accessible and understandable to the public. The association’s regular volunteers also come on weekends, they are the ones you can meet!

This 12th century castle is located in the heart of the ancient city. Surrounded by water moats, it has preserved its six round towers and its two square towers-gates. After many years of archaeological excavations, it has recently undergone a very interesting restoration. Searches continue to be carried out on a regular basis. It houses the Heritage Interpretation Centre and its new archaeological research base, a 21st century building.
