Three women entered the police station to access the museum by depositing their identity cards. A fourth entered and passed without giving his card. The next day, the head of the museum, arriving at the museum, discovers the lifeless body of one of them, in the room of the technical and scientific police, next to the seats, a 1900 browning gun placed on one of the seats. On the floor are glasses and a broken heel. Who is this young woman? What could have happened to her? A murder? But then who and why? A suicide? This survey offered to children is based on learning the techniques of identification of victims and criminals by transmitting the history and evolution of the technical and scientific police.

The Police Prefecture Museum was commissioned in 1909 by Prefect Louis Lépine. Located in the Ve Arrondissement police hotel, the museum traces the history of the Parisian police from the 17th century to the present day. The 2,000 pieces presented, unique for some, evoke the events in which the police took part, memories of the history of Paris but also of that of France.
