From the decision of the contracting authority to the choice of the project manager, through the various preparatory phases (financing, choice of site and materials, etc.), to the consecration of the building, the speaker will explain the diversity of trades associated with the lifting of the cathedral (wood, iron, stone, glass, etc.) and to deepen the religious, political and social dimensions of the cathedral.
By François Icher, Doctor of History, specialist of compagnonnage and cathedral building sites.

The episcopal city of Meaux, corresponds to the old ecclesiastical district of the city in the Middle Ages and under the old regime. Its main monuments are the cathedral of Saint-Etienne, the old episcopal palace (present-day Bossuet museum), the old garden of the bishopric, the building of the Old Chapter. In the north, the Episcopal City adjoins the old rampart of the city that dates back to the Gallo-Roman era.
