In connection with the exhibition Petits bêtes de tout poil, the Toy Museum has launched a «Peluchologie» campaign. This soft and original science, imagined by the Pôle Culture Scientifique of Montpellier 2 in 2010, allows a real introduction to scientific and museological inventory techniques as well as an awareness of biodiversity: bring your plush to study it as a real scientist and integrate it into the global inventory of plush diversity! Duration: 15 to 30min, time to spend in each workshop to study your plush and draw up the inventory sheet (workshop identification, definition and description, workshop inventory number, workshop measurement and weight, workshop photography). Workshop to be done in family, children accompanied by at least 1 adult.

À propos du lieu

Musée du Jouet

The Toy Museum presents about 800 games and children’s toys from antiquity (thanks to an exceptional deposit of the Louvre Museum) to the present day, with a large part made at the end of the nineteenth century and the golden age of the toy. Thematic exhibitions regularly come to renew the presentation of this unusual collection. The Toy Museum is housed in the door of the former Royal Priory Saint-Louis, founded in 1297 by Philippe le Bel and inaugurated after the Revolution. Surrounded by a charming garden, it is located in the enclosure of the Abbey, privileged enclave that leads to the Meissonier Park and the Savoye villa of the architect Le Corbusier.
