For architecture lovers, Église Saint-Vincent-de-Paul offers a rare example of religious art of the 1st half of the 19th century with this church designed, including in its interior decoration, by a single man: Jacques-Ignace Hittorff. Built between 1824 and 1844 for a district then in full expansion, marked two centuries earlier by the presence of Saint Vincent de Paul. The European Heritage Days allow you to admire the frieze of Saints painted by Hippolyte Flandrin and to access the terrace of the 4 Evangelists with a little-known view of Paris.
This year, in the chapel of the Virgin, we will rediscover the maroon paintings of William Bouguereau, whose restoration began in 2023 with the Visitation and the Adoration of the shepherds.
