A programming of four short films that allows to discover an exceptional cinematographic heritage both from the point of view of the technique and the images. All films screened are discussed with the children.

The film archive(theatre) Robert-Lynen is a service(department) of the Direction(Management) of the school business(affairs) of the Mairie de Paris. Based(Established) in 1925, its mission consists in making of the cinema a pedagogic support(medium), an entertaining show and an object of culture to the young Parisians. The building(ship) shelters a cinema hall dating 1950s as well as an unique(only) collection gathering(collecting) more than 3 700 movies about supports(media) 16 and 35 black and white mm, 10 000 photographies on glass plates(patches), 3 200 autochromium (first colour photographic process on glass plate(patch)), 400 posters of movies, 260 plates(patches) of magical lanterns, objects of pre-cinema and of projectors. Besides assuring(insuring) protection(saving) and promotion(valuation) of this heritage, the film archive(theatre) scoops(draws) out from the wealth of this collection to lead pedagogic actions(shares) of education intended(designed) for the children. Cultural classes for the pupils of primary schools and of workshops(studios) for the frequenting children the leisure centres of the Ville de Paris are so opened every year to discover the history(story) of the cinema and to explore the principles of the language of image.
