This villa was built from 1931 to 1932 by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens for Paul Cavrois, an industrialist from Roubaix. Built in reinforced concrete with solid brick filling and yellow brick siding, the villa is a model of modern comfort: phone and TSF speakers embedded in each room, lighting studied by engineer André Salomon, aluminum radiator covers (now disappeared) , made by Jean Prouvé, etc. The interior decor and furniture were entirely designed by the architect. At the request of the family, the villa was considerably transformed from 1947 by the architect Pierre Barbe.
