Amis de la tuile

Since 1994, the association "LES AMIS DE LA TUILE", which brings together some tile enthusiasts and collectors, aims to gather and preserve all the terracotta elements used to decorate or decorate the house and thus exhibit them. More than 1800 pieces, all data, have been collected since the creation of this association. Enter the Chapelle des Tuiliers and discover the unique pieces of an unknown heritage.

The museum of the tile is installed(settled) in the chapel saint Theresa, thought chapel of the tilemakers, established in 1931 entirely as baked clay. Collections, devoted to history(story) and to manufacturing of the tile, contain flat tiles and channel(canal) and of other than they owe to the smartness of the tilemakers of the XIXth century: tile violin, losangique tile, tile coal nut, insulating tile...
