À propos du lieu

Ancienne Abbaye de Basse Fontaine

The former abbey of Basse-Fontaine is a place steeped in history. From the abbey founded in the 12th century, only part of the cloister and old agricultural buildings remain. But the spirit of the place is still there and life was just waiting to come back. The clearing was inhabited continuously for over 800 years. After a few decades of relative abandonment, Marine, Julien and their two little boys have now taken over by settling in the old barn in the fall of 2021, following major renovation work. The remains of the old abbey will also be renovated in the coming years.
