The church was rebuilt after the Second World War on the ruins of the building that was destroyed during the battles of Stonne (May 1940). The new church was inaugurated in January 1960\. Its simple plan included only a nave and a flat-bottomed choir. A large fresco by Maurice Calka adorns the choir and stained glass windows by Robert Savary bring their bright colors.
