Cultural Olympiad - "Liberté Clairvaux": acrobatic circus show "Pulse" by the circus company Kiaï

The company Kiaï presents Pulse, a creation of acrobatic circus around the trampoline, which pushes the limits of physics. There is no gravity, no top, no bottom, no upside down, no place.

The show "Pulse" is a choreographic circus creation around trampoline and bounce dance. Six heads, twelve arms and twelve legs synchronize in an acrobatic trance that appeals to the senses rather than the mind. There is no more gravity, high, low, reverse or place, the earth and the areas merge. Acrobatics is at work and pushes the limits of physics.
A bouncing space of 9 m in diameter propels the acrobats in an aerial ballet where the musical pulsation gives the la. By disrupting the landmarks, the six game partners invite the spectator to let himself be crossed by the raw energy of acrobatics.

Founded in 1115 in a remote place of southern Champagne, the abbey of Clairvaux was found in just over a century, thanks to the personality of St.Bernard, at the head of a filiation of more than three hundred houses applying the Cistercian reform.
This influence is reflected in successive reconstructions of ever more imposing buildings, up to the great cloister of the eighteenth century. The Revolution dispersed the monks and the purchase of the site by the State in 1808 saved the buildings of the former abbey, with the exception of the church, by installing the largest detention house in France. This site, so full of history, where the prison function is in the process of ending, is today both a high place of the Cistercian world and an important testimony of confinement in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
