The CNAC, contemporary circus house, is a place of passage, training, exchanges, resources, meetings, research, innovations, synergy between disciplines, artistic creations and cultural life. Today, the CNAC supports, trains and accompanies professionals in the circus arts; artists, technicians, teachers, administrators and creative circus researchers who will renew the aesthetics of tomorrow.
The CNAC is an operator of the State, under associative status Law 1901\.
The CNAC is an institution under the Ministry of Culture, inaugurated in 1986 by Jack Lang. It is located in the historic circus of Châlons-en-Champagne, built at the end of the 19th century by the architect Louis Gillet and which has been listed as a historical monument since 1984 .
Since summer 2015, it has new workspaces on the site of "La Marnaise" located 500 meters from the site of the historic circus (site occupied for several decades by an agricultural cooperative.)
