Step back in time and discover the history beneath your feet as you discover the two 11th century Romanesque crypts, invisible to the naked eye. Let yourself be surprised by the small and big stories of these hidden treasures, from their construction to their rediscovery.
Practical information: we recommend you to be vigilant when descending the stairs leading to the crypts. Monuments not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

This large crypt was built under the king Robert le Pieux to receive the relics of saint Aignan at the beginning of the XIth century. It presents a plan to ambulatory and radiant(shining) chapels changed later. It is possible to see beautiful capitals(big tops) there with faces(figures) pre-Romanic, carrying tracks of polychromy(process printing).
