Abbaye de Noirlac

A visual and sound installation created by children from the École du Vernet (Saint-Amand-Montrond).
Discover the hybrid animals and insects made from photos of the fauna of the abbey and the bocage, and associated with plant elements of the cloister (garden plants or sculpted capitals). This realization mixes drawing, painting, collage of natural elements and photos…
To give life to these creatures, a soundtrack was imagined and each was given a cry.
Speakers and artist: Carolle Moreau-Guillemet and Anne Tisseyre, heritage mediators, Benjamin Payet, bocage mediator and Jean-Christophe Désert, composer

Built around 1150 by a small group of monks from the Abbey of Clairvaux (Burgundy), the Abbey of Noirlac is a true reference of the Cistercian heritage, symbol of the ideal diffused by Saint Bernard in Europe. It is one of the best preserved monastic ensembles.
