Built in 1816 on the site of the former fortress of the Counts of Dreux, the royal chapel of Saint Louis houses the burials of the Bourbons-Orléans family. The first building built in a neoclassical style by the Duchess of Orleans, was later enlarged by his son King Louis-Philippe in a neo-Gothic style.
