Exhibition Julien Allègre, Autres mondes (sculpture)
The Capazza gallery is pleased to invite Julien Allègre.
A dozen works will be exhibited in the exterior spaces of the gallery.
Julien ALLEGRE, was born in 1980 in Arles.
He lives and works in Provence, France
Artist sculptor and self-taught musician, he participates in numerous exhibitions and performances in France and Europe.
His work is present in many private collections and foundations in France and beyond.
He is undoubtedly an artist of matter, eager to find the one he has not yet been ... Here he invites us to feel the emotional and concrete metamorphoses of the visible.
These sculptures are the result of a work over several years, they are the reflection of the journey of many variations, bringing together strong subjects such as the complexity of the soul, its strengths and weaknesses, or about the animality and beauty of nature, either on timelessness or the irrevocable passing of time ...
Being able to show my admiration for nature seemed obvious to me.
These slender beings are guardians of a past time, and sentinels of the present.
They are devoid of colors, of heads, in their simple stature of observers, their bodies resemble fantastic skeletons of branches where the fantasized time would have left only the essential of the matter to be able to still testify!
These fossil Men are one of the culminations of the path of matter that I have been developing for over ten years.
The metal I find most often in its mercantile state, already used but in its object form, I learned to work with it and give it, it seems to me, a living aspect.
The material has become rough, the range of rust tones is for me poetry,
line strata are reminiscent of spring sap spikes,
the ends of the pieces, at a burst of branches calling to its foliage.
Once placed in a «natural» environment they seem to dialogue with their environment, firmly dismissing the bad deeds that one might have towards the nature of which they make themselves guardians.»
