Sculpture exhibition
When Laure Polin sculpts, she perceives the space that her works must take possession of. She does not shape her works from the outside, as a stone can be attacked by the chisel, but instead she shapes them in the very depths of their intimacy. Faces, bodies, sensations, movements, rhythms are born in the curves and the wild. Whether she creates a bust, or an abstract sculpture inspired by an interior model, Laure Polin simply seeks to create living forms. A living form is a full, tenuous, pulsating form that forms a sound relationship with another form. A sculpture is a set of volumes that resonate and understand each other. From this understanding must be born harmony. His sculpture therefore belongs to the field of discovery. When she sculpts, she builds a shape that illustrates the feeling she carries, in an intuitive plastic path.
