On Sundays, the members of the association pryvataine d'Histoire locale invite you to discover an exhibition on the site of the brick oven of Vieux-Bourg.
During this day, you will discover the past of Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin, we will explain the operation of the old brick oven and you can discover photos of the ovens of Sologne and the surroundings.
You will attend demonstrations of tile pressing, in tuilière earth, with a rebat press dating from the early twentieth century. Pressed products will be sold on site.
A souvenir book, retracing the past 'tuilier' pryvatain and written by the members of the association pryvataine d'Histoire locale, will be on sale.

The brick oven of Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin is the last vestige, in the entire territory of the Orleans metropolis, of an industrial past that has now disappeared. It is in a good state of preservation. It is the worthy witness of the semi-artisanal tile industry, very flourishing in the eighteenth century and still significant in the nineteenth, in the municipality of Saint-Pryvé-Saint-Mesmin.
