Visit and demonstration of wood engraving at L'Atelier de la Maison penchée
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Catherine Binon opens the doors of the Atelier de la Maison penchée, located in one of the oldest buildings in the city, to present her work and exhibit the engravings made since her arrival in Sens. The engravings presented show the city through the local architectural heritage, whether historical or contemporary (Saint-Étienne Cathedral, grain silos or pavilion areas); other themes are explored. Discover the different steps of making an engraved wood in savings size as well as the modalities of the prints with the froton and the press to obtain a footprint.
