Built to house the assemblies of the States in the seventeenth century, this palace of classical style consists of a set of reception rooms and lounges served by the staircase of the States, major work of the French architecture of the eighteenth, due to Jacques Gabriel.
The Salons du Palais (10am to 6pm)
Walk freely through the reception areas and the work and meeting spaces of the mayor and his close collaborators, taking the steps and the State Hall, the Hercules Rooms, the Golden Fleece, and the Hall of Fame, the former City Council Hall and the Blue Room.
The Wedding Waiting Room and the Wedding Room (Sunday 10am to 6pm)
These two Gothic rooms belonged to the house built for Duke Philippe le Bon by the architect Jean Poncelet in 1450. The waiting room of the weddings is identified in the archives as the ducal room of the jewels while the current room of weddings, longer originally, constituted the cellar.

Most of the buildings visible today, however, were built in the seventeenth and especially eighteenth centuries, in a classical style, with the design of the royal square, today Place de la Libération. Finally, the facade of the Museum of Fine Arts, on the Place de la Sainte-Chapelle, was built in the 19th century on the site of the Sainte-Chapelle de Dijon destroyed in 1802\. This complex, in a remarkable state of conservation, bears witness to almost a millennium of political life in Dijon. The Palace was one of the seats of the sovereigns of the Burgundian State, the Dukes of Bu
