As part of the heritage days Sunday 17 September, we offer you guided tours : hydraulic operation, oil mill and saw (the unread flour mill is not open to visitors) and nut oil demonstrations (11am and 2pm) and band saw (16h).
It is possible to lunch on site lunch (snacks on site)
The mill is located along the road at the entrance of the village on the left (arriving from Saint-Jean-le-Vieux).

Water mill located on the Oiselon river at the Abergement de Varey whose first traces in the archives date from the 14th century and belonging to the PERRIN family for 7 generations.
It is driven by a 6 m diameter bucket wheel. The waters of the Oiselon are diverted by a channel 350 m long and stored in a water reserve.
Originally a flour mill, it also had a thresher, a band saw and a walnut oil mill at its peak.
Restoration works (wheel, water supply, oil mill...) have been undertaken for about fifteen years to continue to make live this exceptional place because of its different activities, the conservation of tools and mechanisms, its seniority and the possibility of seeing certain tools in operation.
