Musée du Bugey-Valromey

At the foot of the Big(Great) Dovecote, in Lochieu, small bugiste typical village, the departmental museum of Bugey-Valromey nests. The heart of the museum is a house Renaissance containing numerous witnesses(batons) of the history(story) of the place: two-light frame, monumental fireplace, staircase in screw, pigeon house, cupboards and pavings, vault of the XVIth century. Theatre of reconstructions and case of collections, she receives also the most important public collection of sour(turned) wooden contemporary works of France. 30 international artists are represented. Visible of garden of the museum, exceptional panorama on the Bugey allows to include the attraction of numerous artists for this territory. In discounts(deliveries), old(former) jobs(businesses) by the wood (woodcutter, docker, coalman, cartwright, cooper...) previous means of transport are presented as well as: tanks, sleds, horse-drawn carriages, snowplow(snowplows).
