The collegiate church of Notre-Dame is one of five sanctuaries built in medieval times in the center of Chamalières. The western massif and the nave, built in arkose, are pre-Romanesque. The design of the bedside
Comprising four radiant chapels was typical of the Romanesque churches of Auvergne, before being transformed by the cross vault of Volvic stone ogives of the seventeenth century.

The drawing of the apse comprising four radiant chapels was typical of the Auvergne Romanesque churches, before being transformed by the vault into cross-sections of Volvic stone ribs of the seventeenth century.
