Towards the rebirth of a forgotten castle between Forez and Lyonnais

Only building selected in the Loire Department by the Mission Stéphane Bern for the 2nd edition of the Loto du Patrimoine 2019 and with the support of the Heritage Foundation, the Jarnosse Castle Safeguarding Association wishes to meet you during the European Heritage Days for this fifth exceptional opening and propose the following program:
- Presentation of current and future work.
- Opening of the large gallery on the 1st floor and the chapel as an extension.
- Presentation of the virgin to the polychrome child of the 15th century.
- First traces of painted decorations of the gallery and on the old influence of the chapel founded in 1248 under the name of Saint Catherine of Alexandria with the representation of the Annunciation.

Castle and its surroundings / Gallery / Chapel – Opening hours 10:30 / 11:30 / 14:30 / 15:30 / 17:00 – For groups of 10 or more people on prior reservation by mail châteaujarnosse@orange.fr
• Free admission - Permanent exhibition on the history of more than a thousand years that helped to build and transform this former castle enclosure became the castle of Jarnosse.
