Come and visit the residence of international artists of Street Art Rillieux. The Mont-Blanc Residence, launched in December 2021, takes place in a global dynamic of urban renewal undertaken by the city and social lessors. Rillieux-la-Pape’s major Urban Renewal Program will change the overall image of the city and rebalance the supply of housing throughout the territory. The artistic residence is located at 1 and 3 avenue du Mont-Blanc in Rillieux-la-Pape, in a building provided by the social landlord ERILIA, until its disappearance in 2023, according to the urban renewal plans. During this period the place will welcome many artists invited by the association Spacejunk Lyon, each of them will be led to appropriate an apartment to customize it entirely according to his style and creative desire.
The residency allows artists to step out of their daily rhythm. It is indeed a time fully dedicated to creation, not interfered by the rhythm and usual activities. Such a rare and precious context concentrates plastic research in such a way as to advance faster, better or otherwise.
