Restitution Meetings over tea in 10010 minutes
For the Heritage Days, the Housing Unit hosts an exhibition of the ceramic artist FCK/ Frédérick Gautier, located outside the building and accessible to all. This project is a follow-up to his residence there, at the invitation of the Association des habitants de l'Unité d'Habitation Le Corbusier. It is part of their program to enhance the building, both for the inhabitants and for visitors wishing to discover the site Le Corbusier, the first European site of the architect. After a brief stay in our Housing Unit, Frédérick Gautier, alias FCK*, passionate about Functionalist architecture, imagined a project respecting the rules of the association: a collaborative artistic project. In residence for a week, Frédérick penetrated into the privacy of about forty inhabitants with one of these productions, a teapot. His various exchanges allow him to present us in images, words and sounds the 10010 minutes with the inhabitants (at this time FCK exceeds the 10010 ceramic pieces made). Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September from 1 pm to 7 pm. A documentary about the inhabitants of the Housing Unit built by Le Corbusier in Firminy. FCK confronts its teapot of brutalist inspiration with the interiors of the inhabitants as well as the architecture of the building. His ceramic teapot has become the key that opened the door to multiple meetings, prompting discussions and reflections with the inhabitants on their living place. The video transcribes these shared visions and aphorisms, through the combination of images and poetic phrases, which Frédérick Gautier has carefully archived throughout his residence in the building. The sound of the video is composed by Julien Ribot, French pop singer-songwriter,
