After the Revolution, the calvary of the Recollets became a communal cemetery until 1812. From 1820, thanks to an important revival of religious fervour, large Romanesque families bought concessions, raised chapels, and proceeded to burials. Romanet Boffin creates in 1516 the intramural Way of the Cross(long, hard way): place of pilgrimage called "big(" great) journey " which ends in the Ordeal(Calvary). Having destroyed partly during wars of religion and Revolution, he(it) is rebuilt at the beginning of the XIXth century. Every Good Friday at 5 am big(great) journey gathers(combines) the believers(regular customers). Rich in its 40 stations(resorts), the set(group) is classified as "Historic Monument" in 1986.
