The Maison d'Izieu celebrates the European Heritage Days

A festive program for the 80 years of the Izieu Colony

On the agenda:
Enter the house, where the children and adults of the Colony lived. Discover the drawings, letters and photos as well as the animated short film «The magic lantern of the children of Izieu» created from the rolls drawn in the summer of 1943.
Free visit: the mediators of the Maison d'Izieu inform you throughout your visit. Staggered entry, limited gauge, recommended time in the house 30 to 40 minutes.

The temporary exhibition «The year 1943 in the colony, in the collections of the Maison d'Izieu» to discover 35 original unpublished documents.
Free visit, recommended duration 2h to 3h
Closing of the Zlatin Gallery for document retention reasons at 5pm
Around the visits of the memorial museum:

• Wooden games for young and old in the orchard behind the house
• A new geocaching terminal to be found on the site thanks to the dedicated application
• Outside the walls: discovery on the Rhone by canoe with Foxagliss: Educational loop of the caves in autonomy.
  Sunday, September 17 only:
  Inauguration of the restored bread oven of the Maison d'Izieu, a festive time with small catering on site is offered from 11am to 5pm.
  Practical information:
• Free parking, near the Maison d'Izieu and complementary parking in the village of Izieu located 1.5 km
• Enjoy a picnic in the orchard: bring your blankets and hats!
• Snacks on site only on Sunday 17 September
