Benoît Gomez-Kaine presents a photographic series made in the Tarentaize-Beaubrun-Couriot district of Saint-Étienne. He is interested in youth and questions the relationship it maintains with the territory. The series offers a photographic tour of the neighborhood with its young inhabitants. At the time of the great project of renovation Tarentaize-Beaubrun-Couriot, the photographer tracks the daily life and the jolts of a district brought to transform.
The exhibition is presented in two parts, the first in Sanguedolce Park and the second in the grounds of the Mine Museum. Access to the museum is free during the heritage days on 16 and 17 September from 10am to 6pm and subject to the entrance fee from 19 to 30 September. Presentation in the presence of the artist Saturday at 11am

Classified as "Historic Monument" and Museum of France, the Well Couriot is an exceptional patrimonial and museographic set(group) just a step away from the city centre of Saint-Etienne. With its two slag heaps, and its shoring, it is the last big(great) witness(baton) of the mining adventure of the pond stéphanois, and shelters since 1991 the Museum of the Appearance(Mine) of Saint-Etienne. In his(its) buildings(ships), which kept(preserved) their authenticity and the track of the work of the men(people) reconstructed since their closure(lock) in 1973, he(it) proposes a discovery of the universe of the appearance(mine) on the steps of the minors(miners), with in particular an underground gallery. Visit d '1 h 15 makes discover most spaces travelled(browsed) every day by the minors(miners): the impressive washbowl (the «room of the hanging»), the lampisterie, but also the room of the machine of extraction and the room of energy. A moving reconstructed underground gallery allows to include techniques of exploitation(operation) and working conditions, by borrowing an authentic train of appearance(mine). Exhibitions(Exposures), festivals, concerts, artistic installations and the Party(Holiday) of Saint Barbara(Powder magazine) (in December) make of Couriot a place of life and of leading culture, which is the busiest museum of the Loire with more than 60 000 visitors today a year. Since 2012, Couriot made the object of an important working programme to safeguard its heritage, to return more comfortable your coming and to renew its route(course) of visit. Discover from now on the new spaces of exhibition(exposure): The Face(Figure) of the minor(miner), The big(great) history(story) of Couriot, the six centuries of coal adventure of Saint-Etienne and of its territory, with its new audiovisual media. Couriot, it is also a 8 hectare park for all, around the shoring, with its games(sets) for children, its areas of picnic, and its big(great) lawns.
