It is a place too little known and deserves all the attention. However, as of March 20, 1945, the Jardin du Calvaire was classified under the law of May 2, 1930 for «the richness of its plantations and the religious interest it arouses».
Thus, this remarkable site presents a military (bastion), religious (Calvary and Way of the Cross) and natural heritage (trees and bushes) and offers the visitor a place conducive to meditation and discovery.

It is in 1825 when a company(society) of the Ordeal(Calvary) establishes(constitutes), the director of which is the canon Cazaintre (his grave is in the garden), vicar-general, with the intention of establishing a particular(special) chapel. The association decides to realise an ordeal(Calvary) the same year on the bastion «of Mills», in the southwest angle of the Ancient country-house. Garden in the shape of snail lined with low walls, with massifs of boxwoods, with old cypress, with olive trees and with laurines embaumantes. Small located haven of peace close to the cathedral holy Michel.
