Mont Saint-Quentin
route de Plappeville, 57050 Lorry-lès-Metz
With a total area of about 700 hectares, spread over six municipalities (Lessy, Scy-Chazelles, Longeville-lès-Metz, Le Ban-Saint-Martin, Plappeville and Lorry-lès-Metz), the classified site of Mont Saint-Quentin is home to a fortified complex that was built over several decades at the end of the 19th century.
It is one of the largest concentrations in Europe of military works, the result of successive passages between the German and French army. Surrounding the works, nature has gradually settled down and offers landscapes and a wealth of remarkable biodiversity protected by a Natura 2000 perimeter for the «Lawns of the Messin Country»
