The Church of Saint-Didier is very representative of the history of the village of Alixan. It is only a simple castral chapel during the construction of the castle, the parish church being that of the Priory of Saint Martin de Coussaud, it owes to the development of the village near the castle and to the ruin of the priory of Coussaud during the wars of religions to become the parish church in the 17th century. It is therefore a very composite building by its form and its materials, with parts dating: - from the 11-12th centuries - chapel castrale, - from the 12-13th -Gothic choir, Romanesque nave, - from the 18th -baptismal fonts and belfry-belfry, - from the 19th -exterior staircase. The portal is Romanesque with a semicircular arch and two lion heads that adorn the two capitals of the entrance. Gothic nave with keystone decorated with the blessing of Christ (13th century).
