Event in partnership with the association of the Friends of St Jean - free visit of the chapel and the museum, presenting the collection of sacred art objects and ex votos: The site of the priory Saint-Jean-de-garguier is an unmissable place in the history of Provence, since it has been frequented for 2,600 years. A unique and incredibly rich history. You can visit the place which is now a reception center as well as its chapel with its votos which are classified as historical monuments. For the more curious a small museum hides treasures collected over the years.

The priory is a Christian building, dating from the 12th century. A place of pilgrimage in the Middle Ages, especially at the time of the feast of St John the Baptist on June 21\. Today the priory hosts church groups, associations, schools or companies for spiritual retreats, cultural stays, seminars, ... during the day or over several days with accommodation or catering. The outdoor spaces also allow to host scout groups or youth movements for outdoor activities.
