Clinging to the cliffs of the Gorges du Verdon, the terraces of Saint-Maurin are today a protected natural area where the waters that emerge from an impressive surge flow in cascades. Today protected from man, the place has long welcomed a community. Since 2020, the Departmental Archaeology Service has been conducting an excavation that unearths the remains of two chapels rebuilt throughout the Middle Ages, perhaps as early as the end of Antiquity.
