Tiffauges also has a watch museum. For 150 years, this is where the clocks that give the time to the dials of our bell towers have been made. In the 1980s, electronics disrupted the entire industry, which was also the case for watchmaking. The last head of the Company had already anticipated this upheaval in the 1970s. In the museum, the boxes that contain all this silent electronics, are next to the old mechanics whose noise we hear ticking.
Nowadays the distribution of time is a banality. Let us keep a memory of our elders who by their genius and the love of work well done made these beautiful mechanics.
