1989-2019: Arc'Antique laboratory, 30 years of expertise in heritage preservation. The Arc'Antique laboratory was born in 1989 from the desire of the Department of Loire-Atlantique, with the support of the State and the city of Nantes, to create a scientific and technical structure whose vocation is the preservation of cultural heritage. This laboratory is one of the most important in France. Located in Nantes, near the universities and the Institute of Materials, the 1,500 m² of the laboratory is entirely dedicated to the conservation and restoration of archaeological objects and works of art. The objects entrusted come mainly from archaeologists or museums who wish to have their collections restored for study or exhibition. The Arc'Antique laboratory specializes in the conservation and restoration of the terrestrial archaeological heritage but also underwater.
