In 1437 Charles VII would have instituted an elected city community. In 1508: construction of the City Hall. 1844: 1st enlargement project in Gothic style by Charles Joly-Leterne. 1903: restoration of the facade on the Loire of the fortified house early sixteenth. Around 1975, restoration work by architect Vitry-(fils); demolition of the low neo-gothic wing along Rue Bonnemère
