The church «Notre Dame de l'Assomption» can be visited on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September, from 9am to 6pm. Remarkable elements: Way of the Cross, wooden altar, painting renovated in 2021 by local painter Henry Simon, made in 1944, on his return from captivity. There is Louis XIII offering a monstrance (gilded silver with enamels, work of the Nantes goldsmith Thomas Quin) to the commune. This painting evokes the victory of Louis XIII over the Prince de Soubise, leader of the Protestants, thanks to the significant help of the Rié population, during the battle of the Isle de Rié in 1622, which we celebrate 400 years this year. On Saturday, September 17, the monstrance will be visible in the church.
