The construction of this chapel has long been attributed to Marie de Beaucaire, baroness of Rié and foundress of the port of Croix-de-Vie, for the repose of her husband’s soul.
The latest restoration work has revealed ancient Gothic-style remains, which attest to an earlier building dating from the 14th or 15th century.
Located in the old cemetery of Saint-Hilaire-de-Riz, access outside the opening hours of the cemetery.
