As an introduction to the exhibition «Au nom des femmes» at the Hôtel des Pénitentes, the show Carmen by the company Chute Libre is a free wheeling trio, an impulsive choreography where improvisation and writing overlap. A delicate ritual where hip-hop dance flirts with wacking, krump and flamenco. They are three, three bodies, three seats, three lights. They are already waiting for us on stage, ready not to decide, instinctive. Their backs face the curious. They move their arms aerial, nervous, feet and ponds in the earth. Then their bodies melt, lazy, before rising, present and alert. Modern witches, they mark the tempo, tremble and camber themselves: then begins a rhythm ceremony.
