«UCO opens its reserves»: Visit of the reserve of ancient scientific instruments and Exhibition on the scientific heritage of the UCO
This year, during the European Heritage Days, «the UCO opens its reserves», the opportunity to discover the collection of ancient scientific devices! Consisting of about 1850 instruments, this collection is largely derived from the laboratories of the UCO, whose first acquisitions coincide with the opening of the University and its Faculty of Science in 1877. The collection now includes ancient instruments (1840 to 1950) and contemporary instruments (1950 to the present day) from various disciplines.
To discover also, some pieces from the animal and entomological collections presented as part of an exhibition organized by ANATURAE, student association that values our collections while raising awareness of the challenges of sustainable development.
