«Immersion au 18ème siècle» and Paris-Match:

On the occasion of this heritage weekend, the Château de Montgeoffroy offers a rich program to celebrate this highlight of the season.
An immersion in the life of yesteryear in order to discover the different trades that worked for the smooth running of the house. From the entrance hall, the stage manager will welcome you and will direct you to the attic of the Castle, opening exceptionally for the occasion. There, you will discover reconstructions of trades of yesteryear. An exhibition on the treatment of advertising between the years 1949 and 1953 by the weekly Paris-Match will be proposed to you. A playful and amazing way to go back in time and discover the evolution of customs.
Take advantage of this moment to admire the impressive wooden frame of the 18th century.
Then, going down to the ground floor, you will have the opportunity to observe the occupants, in period costumes, going about their business while you walk in the rooms. Perhaps we will see Madame plunge into a book in her apartments, while Monsieur will be occupied to a part of tric trac in the small living room? But be careful not to disturb the maid, late on her work, who folds linen in the office! A little tour in the kitchen where the cook is in the middle of preparing dinner. The seamstress of the house will also be present, in the middle of creating… She will be eager to introduce you to the latest fashion at the King’s court.
