In 1905, Baroness Marguerite-Antoinette Lemot, granddaughter of François-Frédéric Lemot, the builder of the Clisson Italianisant, decided to build this building. It was once an Italian-style tea.
In 1925, on the death of Marguerite-Antoinette Lemot, the Tivoli became the property of the Mandrin couple. In 1928, with the property surrounding it, they ceded it to Mr. Guérineau, an industrialist and mayor of Cholet, for the sum of 190,000 francs.
In 1946, the municipality converted the Tivoli into a cinema. The entrance hall was enlarged, the facade was modified and a staircase was built to access the balcony.
Abandoned since 1993, Tivoli suffered a serious fire in 2008. Saturday 17 September at 9pm at midnight «la Trinité fait son cinéma lieu: Porte Palzaise, in front of the Tivoli». Outdoor projection on the wall of the Tivoli of the film Cinéma Paradiso by Giuseppe Tornatore.
