Exhibition Ocean, an unusual dive
Although covering most of our planet, the ocean is still largely unknown. The exhibition Ocean, un plongée insolite proposes to all the public, from 5 years, a wonderful and surprising journey in the heart of an original biodiversity, far from the coast and familiar figures.
After presenting the constraints of the marine environment and the challenge of exploring it, visitors dive into another dimension to discover the microscopic life within plankton. They continue their journey in the extreme environments, meeting the singular fauna of the great depths and the icy waters of the Southern Ocean.
The rest of the journey sensitizes them to a more respectful approach to nature and enlightens them on the unsuspected resources of the marine environment.
Along the way, the exhibition develops a common thread about the threats that humans pose to the ocean today, but also presents the alternatives that visitors can put in place on a scale.
Thanks to an immersive scenography with great projections and iconography, to a selection of specimens revealing a strange and magnificent bestiary and to many interactive devices, the exhibition, which is based on the research of scientists, allows the public to better understand and protect life in the ocean.
